Amy Winehouse’s House Auctioned Off

Amy Winehouse's House Auctioned OffIt sounds like a tongue twister, but the truth remains – the beautiful house that previously belonged to Amy Winehouse has been auctioned off. What had become a small tourist attraction is now a house belonging to one of the interested buyers who turned up at the auction. Amy’s parents managed the auction that attracted no more than five buyers to bid for the home that accommodated Amy’s final resting place; it wasn’t mentioned that she actually died in the house, but the truth is known.

Prior to the auction, a number of people came to visit the house for sentimental reasons – to connect with the star now gone, but no one expressed much of an interest in buying the lovely four story house.

The house is 2,500 square feet in total size and it plays host to three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dressing room, expansive kitchen, home gym and soundproofed recording studio – no doubt a space that echoed many a tune. The gardens are neat landscaped and manicured and the back yard offer ample room for little people to run and play. The property sold for approximately $3.2 million in the end and it appears her parents are happy to be done with the responsibility. Perhaps it’s also a means of closure for them.
